Red lentils are a pulse, not a spice — small, flat, orange lentils, as shown in the photo. We supply them alongside our spice range so customers can source their dhal and its spices from one supplier.
Red lentils cook quickly and turn soft, which suits dhal curry, Arab lentil soup (shorbat adas), dhal for roti canai and catering dishes. A regular for mamak, Indian and Arab restaurants, caterers, hotel kitchens and grocers.
