A Sunnah gift box is one of the easiest and most meaningful presents in Malaysia — for Ramadan, Hari Raya, a kenduri, corporate gifting, or simply as something to bring when you visit family. At AlSultanFood we offer six sets, Set A to Set F, each built around premium dates and completed with nuts, dried fruit, chocolate, honey or olive oil.
This guide explains how the sets differ, which one fits each occasion, and a few practical tips so your gift arrives on time.
Why a dates gift box works so well
Dates have long been a special treat in Muslim culture, especially at iftar. They are often associated with the Sunnah, as are honey, black seed and olives. A gift like this feels sincere without being over the top.
- For all ages — dates, nuts and chocolate appeal to grandparents and kids alike.
- Made for sharing — one box is enough to serve the whole family or a room of guests.
- Keeps longer than fresh kuih — as long as it is stored somewhere cool and dry; check the expiry date on the packaging.
- Neat and elegant — a premium gift box that is ready to hand over without re-wrapping.
How Set A to Set F differ
The sets below are described from our product information. For the exact size of each item, please see the photos on each product page.
6-in-1 hampers: Set A, Set B and Set C
- Set A — Ajwa dates, Medjool dates, black seed honey, raisins, dried fruit and nuts. The sweetest of the three, great for snack-loving families.
- Set B — Ajwa dates, Medjool dates, black seed honey, premium extra virgin olive oil, dried fruit and nuts.
- Set C — the same listed contents as Set B; the difference is in the specific items and arrangement, so compare the photos before choosing.

Set D: for Medjool lovers
Set D is a 4-in-1 set — Medjool dates, chocolate, dried fruit and nuts. Medjool is known for its large size and thick flesh, so this set suits anyone who likes a satisfying, generous date.
Set E and Set F: Ajwa Jumbo with chocolate oat bites
- Set E — Ajwa Jumbo dates, chocolate oat snacks, mixed nuts and dried fruit.
- Set F — the same as Set E, plus raisins.
Both are light and kid-friendly thanks to the crunchy chocolate oat snacks. A good choice for office gifts, teachers or neighbours.
Which set for which occasion?
- Ramadan — almost any set works, since dates are the classic way to break the fast. For a complete gift to parents, go for Set A, B or C.
- Hari Raya — Set E and F are easy to bring along on Raya visits, and the nuts and dried fruit can go straight into your Raya jars.
- Kenduri and weddings — for favours in large numbers, simpler sets like Set E or Set F are more practical. For a gift to the bride’s or groom’s family, choose a 6-in-1 set.
- Corporate gifts — Set B or C feel premium thanks to the extra virgin olive oil, ideal for clients and business partners.
- New mothers and new families — a 6-in-1 hamper with dates and honey is a popular gift when visiting. We make no health claims; it is simply a food gift that many people appreciate.
- Visiting family — Set D or Set E as a simple present that still feels special.
Make it more personal
Want a bigger gift? Pair a gift box with other items from our shop:
- An extra box of dates from the dates category — for example the Ajwa Ramadan Gift Box 250g or the Special Ramadan Gift Box Ajwa & Medjool.
- Pistachios, almonds or cashews from the nuts category.
- Olivko organic olive oil from the olive oil category for someone who loves to cook.
- Delice chocolate snacks from the snacks category for the kids.

Tips for ordering in festive season
- Order early. Demand rises before Ramadan and Raya, and couriers get busier too. The earlier you order, the calmer you will be.
- Ship straight to the recipient. Enter their address at checkout — we deliver across Malaysia.
- Large quantities? For event or corporate orders, contact us through the WhatsApp button on this site so we can check stock.
- Save a little. Use code SULTAN for 5% off with a minimum spend of RM100.
Storing your gift box
Keep the gift box in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Once opened, close the nut and dried fruit jars tightly so they stay crisp. Each item has its own expiry date — please check the packaging.
How many sets do you need?
Before you order, list your recipients and split them into two groups: “main” recipients (parents, in-laws, key clients) and “general” recipients (colleagues, neighbours, event guests). The main group usually gets a 6-in-1 hamper such as Set A, B or C, while the general group can receive a simpler set like Set D, E or F.
- Small office — one set per department to share, or one simple set per person.
- Kenduri — count close family and special guests first, then add a few spare sets for unexpected visitors.
- Raya visits — keep a few sets at home so you always have something to bring when visiting relatives.
Small touches that make a gift memorable
The gifts people remember are not the most expensive ones, but the ones that feel sincere. Add a short card with Ramadan or Raya wishes, a kind prayer, or simply a thank-you. If you are shipping straight to the recipient, let them know in advance so someone is home to receive the parcel.
Think about the recipient’s taste too. A keen cook will appreciate a set with olive oil, families with young children tend to love sets with chocolate snacks, and true date lovers may be happiest with an extra box of premium dates.
Whatever the occasion, a thoughtfully chosen dates gift box is always appreciated. We hope this guide makes it easier to pick the right one for the people you love.
